Get The Look: Rihanna's Nails From 'You Da One' Video
Rihanna, released the video for her single You Da One, and she’s rocking a sick black-and-white nail design in the clip.
I liked it so much that I decided to show you how to recreate it for yourself.
Here’s how to get the look:
1 Start by adding a base coat to nails and let dry.
2 Next apply a coat of a white nail polish and let dry. Follow with a second coat and make sure you allow this color to thoroughly dry.
3 Now’s the fun part of the look. One of the easiest and cheapest ways to create straight lines on your nails is using clear tape! To create the black triangle that Rihanna rocked on her nails, place two pieces of tape on the nail in the shape of a narrow triangle. (Place one piece on the left side in a diagonal line going to the left and put the other piece on the left side of the nail in a diagonal line going to the right.)
4 Now apply the black nail polish to the triangular section of your nail. Don’t worry about being too perfect because the extra color will end up on the tape, so it won’t ruin the remaining white portion of the nails. Follow with a second coat, if needed.
5 Wait for the black nail polish to completely dry before removing the tape.
6 Add a top coat, and you’ve got a fly mani!
